A House & a Clinic

In this residence cum dental clinic for a doctor couple, the challenge was to link both facilities as well as give independent access to both the house & the clinic.
The car portico connects & separates the two units. Behind the portico separated by a metal screen is the swimming pool.
A unique feature to cool the rooms of the first floor was the creation of small openings between the roof slab & the false ceiling to ensures air circulation and therefore cooling.
The Western facade wall is thicker than normal & built with AAC blocks to insulate from the afternoon heat.
